Aligning vending machine stock

Two systems, two realities. They needed to talk to each other.

Two separate data sources: the SAP inventory on Infrabel's side, and the actual stock reported by the dispenser supplier's portal.

The problem

After extracting the SAP inventory and the machine stock from the supplier's portal, no one was really comparing the two. There was no reliable way to know where replenishment was actually needed, or where stock errors were hiding.

The solution

I built a tool that automatically cross-checks both extracts, detects discrepancies and replenishment errors, identifies actual needs, and then drafts the email to send to the carrier to schedule returns.
