3D printing

A part didn't exist. So I printed it.

01

The problem

At Infrabel as at Dexis, the needs were similar without ever being identical: a broken measuring-tape handle, a spare part unavailable anywhere on the market, or a very specific need no supplier covered.

02

The solution

I modeled and printed handles and spare parts for Infrabel, along with a scale model of a parts store. For Dexis, I designed sample slots to show clients, during visits, every slot size available in our dispensers. I also created custom-printed storage bins, sized exactly to the vending slot dimensions, to stop small parts from falling out or getting lost.

03

How it works

  • Custom 3D modeling in Fusion 360
  • Spare parts unavailable on the market
  • Sample slots and bins matched to vending dimensions
04

The results

  • Solutions available immediately
  • Lower cost than buying or waiting on a supplier
  • Matched exactly to the need
